It has been almost two
years since NetJets took delivery of a CessnaCitation Latitude, which the fractional business jet company used as a
demonstrator to showcase the aircraft’s capabilities and potential to customers
across the U.S. In June of 2016, NetJets received the first Latitude in a firm
order of 25 bizjets, initially with an option to purchase an additional 125,
but the order was soon expanded to 200.
And so it’s quite fitting
that Textron Aviation announced this week at NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas that
NetJets will soon be the recipient of the 100th Latitude delivery.
“We set out to redefine
this segment by investing in a new product with features our customers told us
they wanted: large-cabin amenities and best-in-class operating costs.
Delivering 100 Latitudes in just over two years is a testament that we’ve got
the ideal combination,” said Rob Scholl, senior vice president of Sales and
Marketing, Textron Aviation. “There’s no better endorsement than the fact that
our longtime customer NetJets reports it as the best-selling aircraft in its
fleet.”
With 42 shipments, the
Latitude was the most-delivered midsize jet of 2016, and it’s undoubtedly a
preferred aircraft for NetJets customers.
“The Latitude is one of
the most outstanding midsize cabin jets in the industry. It meets our Owners'
and our own high standards for performance and safety,” said Doug Henneberry,
executive vice president of Aircraft Asset Management, NetJets, Inc. “We are
proud to have Latitudes in our fleet, and we’re excited to celebrate this
milestone delivery with our industry partner.”
NetJets will receive the
milestone Latitude later this week at Textron's headquarters in Wichita,
Kansas.
