7.0-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes China's Sichuan Province, Jiuzhai Airport Affected

A 7.0-magnitude earthquake struck Sichuan's Jiuzhaigou County late Tuesday night, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The quake took place around 9:20 p.m. in Jiuzhaigou County, a remote region of Sichuan province. As an important gateway to the region, Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport has been affected.

Seven airlines, including Air China, China Eastern Airlines, Chongqing Airlines, Lucky Air, Sichuan Airlines and West Air, currently operates services to Jiuzhai Airport, according to data of VariFlight, which means these airlines are capable of providing rescue and earthquake relief service.
