Recently,
Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) published the national airport
report of 2017 and the rank of airports all around the country.
In
All, there have been 229 civil airports certificated in mainland China (Hong
Kong, Macao and Taiwan excluded), among which 228 airports and 224 cities has
regular flights.
In
general, the main production indexes of national airports keep a steady and
comparably fast growth. Passenger throughput of 2017 in total exceeds 1.1
billion, increasing 12.9% compared to the last year: domestic airlines complete
a throughput of 1.04 billion people with a year-on-year growth of 13.4%,
including 27.1 million completed by airlines from mainland China to Hong Kong,
Macao and Taiwan which decreases 1.9% compared to the last year; international
airlines complete 111.7 million people with a growth of 9.2% year on year.
As
for cargo turnover, it reaches 16.2million tonnes, 7.1% increased compared to
the last year: domestic airlines finish 10 million tonnes, 2.7% enhanced, among
which the airlines from mainland China to Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan complete
0.99 million with a growth of 5.8% year on year; international airlines finish
6.18 million tonnes, 15.2% increased.
There
are 10 new cities opening regular flights, such as Lancang in Yunnan Province,
Shache in Xinjiang Province, Huolinguole in Inner Mongolia and cities in Hebei,
Jilin, Heilongjiang and so on.
Also,
CAAC has ranked the national airports by their performance: in terms of passenger
turnover, Beijing Capital Airport serves 95.8 million people to be on the top,
followed by Shanghai Pudong Airport with 70 million as second and Guangzhou
Baiyun Airport with 65.8 million as third; in terms of cargo transportation,
Shanghai Pudong Airport completes 3.8 million tonnes to be the first while
Beijing Capital Airport with 2.02 million tonnes to be the second and Guangzhou
Baiyun Airport with 1.78 stays the third.
There
are 32 airports finishing a passenger turnover more than 10 million, 4 more
airports compared to 2016, while the top three airports in Beijing, Shanghai
and Guangzhou account for 24.3% of the whole domestic passenger turnover, 1.9
points dropped year on year.
